Asthma Education Services

  • Comprehensive review of your child’s diagnosis and medical history.

  • Individualized, thorough asthma education based on evidence-based guides to help you understand how asthma affects your child’s airways.

  • Education regarding methods to avoid asthma exacerbations.

  • Assistance identifying your child’s asthma triggers and education regarding methods to reduce exposure.

  • Personalized asthma action plan (produced in collaboration with you, your child’s pediatrician and/or pulmonologist/asthma specialist) to ensure you have the tools needed to prevent asthma exacerbations and act quickly during an asthma exacerbation.​

    • Asthma action plans will be updated yearly and with any changes to your child's plan of care.

  • Education and demonstration regarding use of asthma medications, devices, and asthma monitoring tools.

  • Assistance obtaining your child’s asthma medication and prescription refills.

  • Collaboration with your child’s healthcare team, including your child’s Pediatrician, Pediatric Pulmonologist, and other specialists as needed, to ensure communication is maintained and all concerns addressed.

  • Assistance creating a personalized asthma kit to ensure anyone caring for your child is always adequately prepared for an asthma exacerbation.

  • List of vetted Pediatric Pulmonologists, Allergists, and Asthma Specialists (if your child is not already established with a needed provider) and referrals as needed.

  • Referrals for virtual home environment assessments to identify asthma concerns within the home and develop strategies to decrease your child's exposure.
